Landscape design - Concept sketch Carmel Valley

Next week we open a project in Carmel Valley on a 6-8 acre estate. The property has an interesting horseshoe shaped home perched on top of a hill sprawling with mature oaks. We will be modifying the irrigation system to today's codes. The plantings will consist of mostly natives grasses and drought tolerant ground covers. Organic compost will be used in the planting zone and subsequent to planting we will top-dress with a 3"-4" layer of mulch. In addition a gravel patio with landscape boulders and a stepping stone walkway will be constructed for outdoor entertainment purposes.
