Forest Project
The landscaping project in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California was engineered to prevent the house from sliding down the hill and to provide safe passage to an adjacent ADU. A series of CMU retaining walls were constructed and veneered with Carmel Style stone, also known as Monterey flats. A deck was designed and built to access the lower portion of the property, wrapping around the house and down a series of steps and landings that safely navigate the sloped terrain. Bougainvillea was planted to drape over the wall and add drama to the garden when in bloom.
