A meandering flagstone path winds across the rear of this Carmel Point residence. The client requested a garden design that incorporated topiaries. We selected Japanese Ligustrum cones, Pom-Pom Juniper and Pine topiaries, and tied them together with Coleonema 'Sunset gold', which will be clipped into a globe shape. The garden also needed to be drought tolerant, withstand high winds and salt spray, and look good year-round.
